Station 15 along with Engine 16-1, Ladder 13 and Engine 19 were dispatched to 121 Ruskin Ave. for a dwelling fire. Engine 15 arrived to find a 2-story S/F/D with smoke showing all sides. Engine 15 stretched a 1 3/4" line to side B of the dwelling and went to the interior to search for the fire. Ladder 13 arrived and took the front of the dwelling and performed ventilation. Engine 15 located a bed on fire inside the dwelling on the first floor. Engine 15 knocked down the fire quickly and overhauled the area around the bed. Engine 16-1 stretched the back-up line and checked for extension. Engine 19 stood-by as R.I.T. and Deputy 16 had the "Ruskin Ave." command. Engine 15 was on-scene for a hour while the FM did his investigation.

Station 15 was dispatched along with Engine 16-1, Ladder 13, and Engine 19 to 2465 South Broad Street for a rubbish fire with exposure. Engine 15 arrived on-location to find a large column of smoke coming from the alley way behind the address. Engine 15 stretched a 1 3/4" line to the alley way to find 20 x 10 area of building materials burning directly against the building. With possible extension to the building the first alarm assignment was dispatched bringing SS-15, Engine 18, and Engine 14-1. Ladder 13 forced entry to the building and threw ladders while Engine 16-1 got a supply line established. Engine 15 knocked down the fire quickly and told command there was no extension and the assignment was scaled back to Station 15, Engine 16-1, and Ladder 13. Units had extensive overhaul and stood-by while HTPD, and MCFM did the investigation. All units went available about 2 hours after dispatch. Chief 15 had the"South Broad Street Command".

Engine 15 was dispatched on the second alarm to Bordentown City for a dwelling fire at 28 East Chestnut Street. Engine 15 arrived and went to work on the second floor knocking down a room off. Engine 15 made quick work of the room and had extensive overhaul to do. Engine 15 operated on-scene for about 2 hours with the Bordentown companies, Ladder 13, and Engine 19.

Engine 15 was dispatched along with Ladder 13 and Engine 12 to a overturned vehicle with entrapment at South Clinton Ave. and Cedar Lane. Ladder 13 arrived to find a SUV on its side with one victim trapped. Engine 15 arrived and pulled a 1 3/4" bumper line as protection for the extrication crew. Ladder 13 stabilized the vehicle and extricated the victim with the assistance of Engine 12 in about 20 minutes. Engine 15 stood-by until the vehicle was uprighted and towed away. Engine 15 controlled the fluids that leaked from the vehicle and was released by command. Chief 13 had the "south Clinton" command.

August 24, 2007 at 18:06 hrs

On August 24th Engine 15 was dispatched to a dwelling fire at 118 Central Ave. in Station 13's local. Also riding on the assignment was Ladder 13, Engine 16, and Fast Team 19. Ladder 13 arrived first due and reported a one-story dwelling with smoke showing from the rear. Engine 16 arrived next and stretched a 1 3/4" line to the rear where Ladder 13 located a room off. Engine 15 arrived next and layed a supply line for Engine 16. Engine 15's crew did a primary search of the building and helped with overhaul while on-scene. The fire was under control in 10 minutes and command scaled the incident back to 2 and 1 for overhaul quickly. Engine 15 operated on-scene for about 30 minutes before returning in-service. Chief 15 had the Central Ave. command.

On July 10th at 13:28 hrs. Station 15 along with Ladder 14, Engine 16, Engine 13, and Engine 19 were dispatched to 25 Hobson Ave. for a dwelling fire with reported people trapped. Engine 15 responded and was on-location with-in 1 minute of dispatch. Engine 15 arrived to find a 2-story duplex with smoke showing. Engine 15 officer asked for a extra engine and ladder to the scene which added Engine 18 and Tower 17 to the assignment. Engine 15 stretched a line to the second floor where they found a fire in the bedroom. Engine 13 handled ventilation and Engine 16 laid the supply line. Units operated on-scene for about 2 hours while the investigation was being done. Captain 15 had the Hobson Ave. command.

June 27, 2007 at 05:51 hrs

Engine 15 was dispatched along with Truck 13, Engine 16 and Engine 19 to 145 Wert Ave. for an apartment fire. Truck 13 arrived on-location and reported smoke from the roof of a 2-story apartment building. Engine 16 arrived and stretched a 2 1/2 in. line to the front of the apartment building while Engine 15 's crew laid a 5" supply line to the hydrant. Engine 15's crew brought their high-rise pack up to the front of the fire building and connected into the 2 1/2 in. line that Engine 16 stretched. Truck 13's crew reported a fire in the attic above the second floor apartment. At this time Truck 13's officer filled the box which added SS-15, Ladder 14, and Engine 18 onto the assignment. Engine 15 stretched the handline to the attic and made quick work of the fire. Engine 16's crew and Truck 13's crew did searches and assisted Engine 15's crew. Crews were on scene for over 2 hours before returning inservice. Ladder 14 and SS-15 assisted with salvage and overhaul of the apartment. All other units stood-by while units were opertaing. Chief 13 had the Wert Ave. command.

On June 18 th at 14:11 hrs. Engine 15 was requested to responded mutual aid to Station 18 as FAST team due to the fact they had a apartment fire at the Victoria Apts. Engine 15 responded with 4 personnel to the scene with Engine 18, Engine 16, and Ladder 13 already being on-location. Engine 15 arrived on the scene and set-up on side A of the building. Captain 15 did a 360 of the building and advised command of where the FAST team would be setup. Engine 15 was on0scene for about 30 mins before being recalled. Engine 18 knocked down the fire quiclky and Ladder 13 did ventilaion.

On June 4th Engine 15 was special called with Station 13 to a smoke investigation at the PSE&G plant on Lamberton Road. A short time later Tele-Squirt 16 and Ladder 14 were added to the assignment by Chief 13. The investigation turned out to be a coal that was burning inside of a storage shed. Engine 15 layed a supply from Engine 13 to the hydrant and stood-by. Ladder 14 ventilated the building and TS 16 used their stick to knock down the smoke from the coal. Units worked the scene for 5 hours before returning inservice. Chief 13 had the "Lamberton Road" command.

May 11, 2007 at 08:31 hrs

Station 15 along with Rescue/Engine 12 and Rescue/Engine 19 were dispatched to the milemarker 61.6 for a mva with entrapment. Engine 15 arrived on-location and advised central that they had a tractor-trailer vs. a car with one entrapped in the car. RE 12 arrived and went in service with their tools while E 15's crew pulled a 1 3/4" protection line. RE 19 arrived a short time later and assisted RE 12 with extrication of the patient. The patient was extricated in just under 30 mins. A short time later RE12 and RE19 were recalled and E 15 stayed on-location until both vehicles were towed away. Captian 15 had the "295 Command".

April 30, 2007 at 1315 hrs

Engine 15 along with Engine 16, Truck 13 and Engine 19 (RIT) were dispatched to the area of Chambers st. and East Brown for a dwelling. Truck 13 arrived to find a 2-story multi-family dwelling with smoke showing from side d. Engine 16 arrived and went in-service with a 1 3/4 hoseline while Engine 15's crew did a search of the fire floor, floor above, and forced some doors. Truck 13 officer asked for the "box to be filled" which got him Ladder 14, SS-15, and Engine 18 to the scene. Crews made quick work of the fire which involved a room in the rear of the dwelling. Command soon held with 2 and 1 for overhaul and the investigation. Deputy 16 had the "Chamber street" command.

April 15 – 16, 2007

During April 15th and 16th, station 15 experienced a bad rainstorm that dumped a tremendous amount of rain on the area. Engine 15 during the two day storm ran 27 calls in just over 24 hours.The calls ranged from dwellings, dewaterings, fire alarms, and co alarms. Engine 15, Utility 15, and Chief 15 were all inservice during the whole storm. We have pictures and a video that will be added of one of the calls from Berg Ave. which was flooded out due to the rain.

  

  

March 14, 2007 at 1051 hrs

Station 15 along with Engine 16, Engine 19, and Ladder 13 were dispatched to 2465 South Broad Street for a building fire. Engine 15 arrived and had nothing showing from the exterior. Engine 15's crew went into investigate and found a fire in the freezer unit in the rear of the store. Engine 15 and Engine 16's crew stretched a line into the building while ladder 13 secured utlities and ventilated. Engine 15 knocked down the fire with a extinguisher quickly and command held with 2 and 1. Units were on-scene for a extended period of time cleaning up. Chief 13 had South Broad Street command.

    

  

February 28, 2007 at 630 hrs

Engine 15, Engine 16, Engine 19 and Ladder 13 were dispatched to a reported building fire at The PSE&G plant on Lamberton Road. Chief 13 while en route received the short report of a fire in the coal tower and asked for the "box to be filled". Ladder 14 and Engine 18 were added to the assignment. Ladder 13 arrived first and had a 7 story coal tower with nothing showing. Ladder 13 then advised command that he had a conveyor belt fire inside the building on the 2nd floor. Engine 16 arrived and pulled a 2 1/2" line to the 2nd floor and Engine 15 crew helped with moving the line. Bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly and extensive overhaul was done. Engine 19 was the RIT and Ladder 14 provided ventilation. Chief 15 had operations. Crews operated at the scene for 5 hours.

  

  

February 15, 2007 at 1101 hrs

Engine 15 along with Truck 13, Engine 16, and Engine 19 were dispatched to 22 Borden Ave. for a dwelling fire. Chief 13 arrived first and advised central he had smoke from the rear chimney. Truck 13 arrived and went into investigate. While Truck 13 was investigating they found a fire in the basement. Engine 15 arrived and was told to stretch a 1 3/4" line to the basement to help Truck 13. Chief 13 "Filled the Box" which now brought Ladder 14, Engine 18, and Special Services 15 to the scene. Truck 13 and Engine 15 contained the fire to heating unit in the basement, while Engine 16 checked for extension on the upper floors. All other units stood fast and were recalled a short time later. Engine 15 picked up the equipment and returned in-service a short time later. Chief 13 had the Borden Ave. command.

  

February 5, 2007  at 1509 hrs

Engine 15 was dispatched to Fetter Ave. and South Clinton Ave. for a mva. Engine 15 arrived on-location to find a two-car mva with one female victim trapped in her car. Engine 15 requested Truck 13 to respond as the rescue company. Truck 13 arrived and freed the person in about 10 minutes while engine 15 stood-by. Captain 15 had Fetter Ave. Command.
